Florida baseball assistant coach Chuck Jeroloman is taking an assistant coaching job with the Tennessee Volunteers, according to Jacob Rudner of Baseball America. Jeroloman will serve as Tennessee’s Associate Head coach and Recruiting Coordinator, the same role he held in Gainesville.
Jeroloman, who was entering his 7th season at Florida, recently received a promotion to Interim Head Coach after Head Coach Kevin O’Sullivan took a leave of absence from the program.
The move comes just weeks after Tennessee’s head coach Tony Vitello left for the San Francisco Giants. Tennessee’s new head coach, Josh Elander, played under Jeroloman at TCU.
A new interim coach has not been named at this time.
Florida is set to play a fall exhibition game tomorrow against Jacksonville.
